Our New Client Process

  • Select the option that best describes you below to be paired with the right adviser for you. From there you will be taken to a calendar to select the time for your initial meeting.

  • After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your meeting details and a link to a short questionnaire.

This helps us understand what you need before we meet, so we can make better use of your time.

  • In your meeting, you’ll talk through what’s going on, what you want help with, and any specific questions you have.

Your adviser will help clarify your goals and explain what the next steps could look like.

  • After the meeting, your adviser will send you a written proposal.

This will outline your goals, what advice we recommend preparing, and the cost to proceed with the financial plan.

You’ll also be talked through this process during the meeting so you fully understand it.

  • Once you’ve reviewed your proposal and you’re happy to proceed, you’ll accept it before any advice work begins.

From there, we’ll start preparing your financial plan, including your strategy, recommendations and the steps needed to help you move forward with clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • There is no cost to book the initial meeting.

This meeting is about understanding what you need help with, answering your initial questions, and working out whether financial advice is the right next step.

After the meeting, your adviser will send you a written proposal outlining your goals, the advice we recommend preparing, and the cost to proceed. Nothing moves ahead until you have reviewed and approved that proposal. Guidance’s advice process also confirms costs before advice production begin

  • You do not need to have everything perfectly organised before we meet.

After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your meeting details and a link to a short questionnaire. This helps us understand where you are now, what you want help with, and what you’d like to get out of the meeting.

Helpful information can include details about your income, super, investments, debts, insurance, major assets, and any big decisions you’re currently weighing up.

  • After the meeting, your adviser will send you a proposal. This will outline what you want to achieve, the advice we recommend preparing, and the cost to proceed with a Statement of Advice.

You will also be talked through this process during the meeting, so you know what happens next before anything goes ahead. Guidance’s process includes the initial meeting, proposal, strategy development, presentation of recommendations and implementation.

  • As a guide, advice preparation and implementation typically starts from $4,400, depending on what you need. A full financial plan with long-term projections usually ranges from $5,500 to $9,900.

For clients who want ongoing financial planning support, our annual service is renewed each year and typically ranges from $400 to $900 per month, depending on the size and complexity of your situation.

  • We can talk through how estate planning fits into your broader financial picture, but we do not prepare legal estate planning documents.

That means we cannot draft your Will or legal documents, but we can recommend the right professional to help.

  • That’s OK.

The questionnaire helps us make better use of your meeting time, but we understand some people would rather talk things through first. You can provide as much as you feel comfortable with, and your adviser can guide you through what is needed during or after the meeting.
